Duties: Perform analytical, trading oriented, duties on the Corporate Equity Derivatives Trading Desk to support the modeling, pricing and risk management of complex derivative products. Assess data in the marketplace and analyze its evolution and its potential impact on a portfolio of complex transactions. Execute risk management strategies based on financial and derivative market structure. Perform computerized analysis of sophisticated financial and other quantitative data to be used in developing risk management strategies to be used in multiple asset classes including equities, currencies, rates, and credit. Leverage expansive knowledge and familiarity with derivatives to make real time trading decisions. Utilize computer technology and knowledge of financial engineering to support efforts of the origination team in developing client proposals and strategic plans. Organize, structure and analyze complex numerical and statistical data and other variables to optimize, improve and develop new pricing models and products. Perform financial product modeling, portfolio structuring, profit and loss analysis, hedging simulation, asset allocation, market return analysis, systems development analysis and Equity market sector strategy analysis. Set up a Contractual Index’s on Equity Swaps in order to properly reflect the bespoke exposure of the structure being traded by the desk. Set up synthetic put and call structures to mitigate capital concerns faced by the desk. Model and construct the early exercise calculation on a variation of an Accelerated Share Repurchase Model including a Fixed Shares Accelerated Share Purchase (ASP). Create and develop funding and stress models specific to positions traded by the desk that will in turn help facilitate the efficient management of the trade. Acquire a strong grasp of Equities Quant library (EQTG) and risk management system (EQRMS) framework and together with the individuals coding background, leverage that knowledge to develop efficient tools for risk managing and trading positions. Foster relationships across teams including but not limited to, origination, product control, back, middle office, market risk, origination, compliance, XVA/Credit desk and structuring. Develop a strong handle of executing a host of hedging strategies in order to optimize the performance of the desk’s existing portfolio. Play a key role in migrating the desks excel based tools over to a universal web based platform along with leveraging the existing quant resources to create more efficient pricing models for risk management. Use VBA, Python, SQL to create automated spreadsheets for pricing and analyzing structures traded by the desk more efficiently. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Economics or related field and 4 years of experience as a Derivative Trader, Trader, Quantitative Analyst, or related position involving pricing and trading Equity Derivatives products. 4 years of experience must include: Quantitative analysis; Portfolio and Risk Management; VBA, Python and SQL; and Modeling, Pricing and Hedging equity derivative products.
