Personal Banking and Wealth Management (PBWM) is a major business at Citi.  The In-Business Franchise Risk Organization within PBWM is responsible for development and implementation of key Enterprise Risk Management programs and Financial Risk Management for PBWM. The In-Business Franchise Risk Officer reports to the CEO of PBWM. 

One of the groups within In-Business Franchise Risk Organization is Enterprise Risk Management Framework. This group is responsible for development and implementation of key Enterprise Risk management programs including Risk Identification and Risk Appetite.

The PBWM Risk Identification Program provides a common standard for the identification, classification and quantification of material risks that impact the business, which then drives management actions that are connected to the firm’s key processes such as strategic and operating plan. This individual reports to Head of PBWM Risk Identification Program and is responsible for driving material risk quantification efforts in partnership with the business and experts in those risk areas.


  • Design material risk quantification methodology so they are meaningful and relevant for management action.
  • Collaborate with financial risk (e.g. credit risk) and non-financial risk (e.g. operational risk) experts, stress testing groups and Financial Planning & Analysis group to drive consistency in quantification methods.
  • Partner closely with second line of defense Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) group to understand guidance and provide inputs/feedback to shape it.
  • Work with risk category experts to enhance risk statements which facilitates quantification including stress testing scenario design
  • Collaborate with other major businesses on key ERM initiatives and share best practice


  • 10+ years of relevant risk management or related analytical/technical experience required
  • Demonstrated experience in leading change, with track record of improving business performance and enhance risk management
  • Relevant experience in the following areas:
    • Credit risk management (wholesale and/or retail credit)
    • Non-Financial risk management (e.g. Operational, Compliance)
    • Solid hands-on experience in Stress Testing (Cost of Credit or PPNR or Operational Risk) is a strong plus
    • Solid hands-on experience in Financial and Capital planning is a strong plus;
    • Good understanding of consumer bank and/or wealth management business

  • Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree in a quantitative discipline preferred.
