Blockchain Engineer

Flow Traders is looking for an experienced Blockchain Engineer to join our growing Technology team in Amsterdam.  The ideal candidate is curious, methodical and a multi-tasker. What you will do

You will work closely with trading desks and deliver fitting solutions for DEX Trading. We expect you to be able to push the team to grow our Blockchain understanding and bring in protocol specific knowledge & best practices. To enable that, we strive to follow the best software engineering practices and are supported by the best working environment, latest technology and continuous support from all parts of Flow Traders organization.

 

Some of the technologies we use in the development process:

  • Strong knowledge in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, Go)
  • Experience in DeFi is a huge plus but candidates who are self-taught on the topic will be considered
  • Blockchain knowledge (nodes, PoW, PoS, Web3)
  • Smart contracts knowledge (Solidity, Rust) 
  • AWS Cloud
  • Advance your scripting skills by working together with the Digital Assets desks to identify and implement ways to accelerate it's growth

 

What you need to succeed

  • Ideally 3+ years of work experience
  • BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, IT or any Engineering Field
  • Ambition to continuously learn how to write clean, reliable and highly maintainable code
  • Strong sense of teamwork and willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to express your ideas and thoughts to your colleagues clearly in English
  • Trading knowledge is not a requirement, but willingness to learn about the domain and build algorithmic, high-frequency trading strategies & systems is key
