Operational Risk Senior Analyst | Wholesale Coverage, Risk and Oversight

Join our global Operational Risk team based in Sydney and provide guidance to Macquarie’s operating groups on the management of material risks and deliver oversight, challenge and insights on Macquarie’s risk profile.

What role will you play?

You will coordinate and track the completion of oversight activities and own and perform centrally operated oversight activities such as, sample-based lookback of NPA condition management. You will ensure consistency and efficiency across teams, including quality assurance reviews and perform thematic analysis to identify themes and opportunities for improvement in operational risk practice and the implementation of frameworks.

What you offer

  • Previous experience in operational risk or internal audit gained within a financial institution and/or professional services firm
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse set of stakeholders and build effective working relationships
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A positive and constructive approach to problem solving, with the ability to multitask, present new ideas and work both independently and collaboratively.

About the Risk Management Group

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include behavioural risk, compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk and governance, prudential risk, and Risk Management Group central.
