Operational Risk Manager - Human Resources

Our global head office in Sydney, is seeking a Business Operational Risk Manager to support our Human Resources Division, where you will ensure Operational Risk is appropriately addressed and managed within Human Resources in line with Macquarie’s Operational Risk Management framework. Additionally, you will facilitate the continued improvement in operational risk awareness and culture within Human Resources and more broadly for our Corporate Operations Group, ensuring risk management provides value to HR in how they operate.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with uplifting HR’s operational risk management processes and documentation,
  • Assisting the HR end to end assessments
  • Managing HR BORM processes in relation to incident, issue and action management and assisting with control assurance reviews
  • Analysing and reporting of risk information
  • Continual process improvement
  • Embedding risk management within HR

To be successful in the role you will have 5 year experience working within operational risk management or risk assurance in the financial services sector either in house or in a professional services environment would suit the role. Alternatively, you may have experience within Human Resources with an understanding of the employee lifecycle. You will receive the necessary training on the operational risk framework to set you up for success in this role. Your strong problem-solving skills, open communication, and desire to learn HR processes are essential.
