Structuring Analyst

Join our North American Gas and Power team as a Structuring Analyst in Houston.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will work alongside sales and trading to value and structure complex transactions. You will contribute to the business’ bottom line by building ad-hoc spreadsheet tools and assist with larger M&A transactions and pricing other commodities such as LNG, oil, uranium and more. Using your strong analytical and technical skills, you will analyze and calculate various exposures to funding, credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and legal risks and liaise with these teams to get deals approved internally. This is a highly visible role in one of our most profitable teams that will allow for growth and experience within our dynamic commodities business. 

What you offer:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in a technical field such Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • One to two years of relevant work experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of derivatives pricing and hedging.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as VBA or Python
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Prior structuring or commodities market knowledge is a plus.
