Position Specific Description

The Sales Operations Specialist will be an integral member of a new business within NextEra focused on providing innovative, energy SaaS solutions to C&I customers and utilities, starting with Optos, NextEra’s SaaS platform. NextEra manages $130B+ worth of renewable assets and Optos was created almost 10 years ago to improve NextEra's own asset performance. Today we’re bringing Optos to the market as an end-to-end energy management solution to help our customers unlock the potential to efficiently accelerate their decarbonization journey.

 

The Sales Operations Specialist will be key to driving the NextEra SaaS team’s success and will play a pivotal role in daily sales team operations.  This position works closely with the Strategy and Sales Operations Director and the larger SaaS sales team to enhance sales effectiveness and productivity.  Duties include managing customer and sales data, as well as technological tools and platforms to assist in managing that data, drafting and tracking Statements of Work, organizing sales collateral, defining and refining structured sales processes for efficiency, and high level training of staff and other business units on the product, market, and processes. We are looking for a self starter with a bias for action, contagious enthusiasm for the product, and a commitment to excellence in creating processes and using data to drive long-term value. The ideal candidate will bring competencies in communication, organization, and efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze sales and customer data; work with Sales Operations team to define and create key metrics and actionable plans for the Sales team
  • Lead documentation and optimization of sales processes (workflows, sales activities, lead generation, conversation rates, email automation)
  • Manage and own the technologies and services used by the Sales Team (for example, customer relationship management platforms) – review services regularly, suggest new tools, provide training when needed, maintain communication and collaboration channels
  • Become an expert on NextEra’s Optos platform and NextEra’s customers to develop and execute high level training of new sales team members and other business units
  • Create an organized system for tracking of Statements of Work and contracts; assist with drafting Statements of Work
  • Collaborate with the Sales Operations Strategy Lead and finance teams to ensure all financial data is tracked
  • Research and introduce new sales methodologies as applicable

 

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years experience in some combination of Business Analytics & Reporting, Project Management, Operations, Process Management, and/or Training Management

Job Overview

The job is responsible for supporting the Origination Team with pre and/or post technical consulting activities, including gaining an understanding of customer needs, identifying new customers, researching and analyzing public information, and applying current business strategies to help the origination Team with strategic decisions. Employees in this role the “back office” support to the “front office” to develop presentation materials for potential customers, work on market intelligence materials to support the origination group, and maintain Origination reporting needs.

Job Duties & Responsibilities


•   Conducts conference calls with potential customers and front line originators to understand their needs
•   Researches public information about potential customers and/or competitors, analyzes data, and formulates a summary and/or recommendation to present to the Origination team
•   Produces origination CRM reports and performs overall CRM maintenance
•   Prepares customer presentation materials
•   Manages origination reporting needs to upper management
•   Assists in the preparation of presentations to support approval of proposed transactions and obtain transaction approvals on a timely basis
•   Coordinates efforts between several different groups within the organization such as Communications, IT, and Investor Relations
•   Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


•  High School Grad / GED
•  Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
•  Experience:5+ years
