Global Financial Systems Specialist

The global finance department consolidates all financial information from the global Optiver business units. Optiver has started using NetSuite for all their financial processes and entities and has a global team based in Amsterdam which controls the application globally.


You will work in the Global NetSuite team to further develop our current reporting system PBCS globally and incorporate any other relevant systems. This will include redefining Optiver’s financial processes and data-structures while working with key-stakeholders. You should be open to look for opportunities to improve the overall systems use and be able to work in a dynamic business environment. Next to that you will be working on:

  • Development of our financial reporting system (PBCS)
  • Taking the lead in the system governance and development of the financial systems
  • Developing, documenting, implementing and communicating policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure systems effectiveness, accuracy, audit ability and compliance
  • Playing a key role in the further development of NetSuite and related systems as a global platform
  • Creating processes for local and global teams to increase the knowledge and self-sustainability of the teams
  • Advising the team in the data integration possibilities to create one single point of truth with automated data feeds where possible
  • Providing support to end users on day to day issues, troubleshoot problems, resolve issues – with a focus on reducing this support
  • Developing and maintaining new and existing reports. Creating customized reports and dashboards to drive insights into business operations to support informed decision making
  • Collaborating in automation and integration projects with a focus on data quality and the accounting requirements



Optiver needs our next Global Financial systems specialist to be someone with:

  • A bachelor in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 2 years of experience with PBCS or similar reporting tool (eg. Oracle EPM, Hyperion)
  • 4+ Years working experience in a finance function
  • A drive to improve the global financial processes
  • A strong understanding of finance processes, financial data and requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to interact with global teams
