Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking a Manager, Operations (Purchase & Sales) to join us as part of the Apex Clearing team.

What you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Reduce risk for the firm.  P&S operations ensure daily market activity is compared with street activity to control and reduce the risk of unmatched trades.  The members of this team are required to ensure timely communication of equity, fixed income, and option trade breaks to introducing Broker Dealers for resolution.

  • Supervise option activities.  The team members also oversee daily option activities, including Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) balancing and evening expirations.  Expiration duties consist of monitoring exercise and do not exercise instructions and ensuring all expiring option trade breaks are resolved and exercise/assignment processing is completed.  

  • Provide excellent customer service.  Apex clients submit requests for trade corrections, manual trade postings outside of automated trade processing, and general queries.  P&S supports these requests and confirms these actions will not result in trade breaks and assists with the daily operations by processing tasks within the department promptly.

  • Expand clearing and trading processing knowledge.  The P&S department works closely with all clearing operations departments and technology.  Expectation to become subject matter expert on trade processing flows and provide guidance to ensure new business is configured to prevent processing gaps.


  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of prior P&S experience.

  • Broadridge BPS knowledge a plus.

  • FINRA Series 7 license preferred at time of hire or willingness to obtain.

  • Ability to multi-task effectively under pressure simultaneously within a fast-paced work environment without impacting the quality of work.

  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
