ABOUT THIS ROLE
Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role involves developing and maintaining innovative financial technology software and contributing to essential projects that drive the company’s digital wealth management platforms, ensuring robust and scalable software solutions. Apex aims to consistently exceed client expectations by delivering superior fintech services and maintaining high transaction integrity. The Senior Platform Engineer will integrate their contributions seamlessly into Apex’s objectives, ensuring consistent progression towards technological excellence and market leadership.
Duties/Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support organizational needs.
Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
Write clean and efficient code in Golang for various platform tools and services.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and features.
Monitor system performances, optimize workflows, and carry out capacity planning.
Manage Kubernetes clusters for orchestration and management of Docker containers.
Ensure compliance with security regulations and best practices.
Foster a culture of growth and learning by leading technical discussions, experimenting with new technologies, and mentoring junior engineers.
Stay updated with new technologies and advocate for their adoption where beneficial.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) required
8+ years of experience, including a focus on engineering and building tools for developers specifically Google Cloud Platform.
Strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, especially Docker and Kubernetes.
Required Skills/Abilities
Strong knowledge of Go programming language, paradigms, constructs, and idioms.
Proficient in using CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD and GitHub Actions.
Solid understanding of network configurations, cloud architecture, and security principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Other Preferred Qualifications
Certifications in Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Previous experience in mentoring or leading teams.
Work Environment
This job operates in a hybrid, office environment.
