Project Manager (Data Center/Telco)

Job Description

TRC Systems LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tower Research Capital LLC, seeks an Project Manager, to take on day-to-day operation activities within our growing technology organization. 

TRC Systems LLC  provides Data Center hosting services and employs a team of 20+ engineers who maintain infrastructure in 100+ locations.  We also provide consulting services on a variety of issues related to tax, risk, business, compliance, and regulation. 

This person must have a jack-of-all-trades mentality and possess business acumen, project management skills, and baseline technical knowledge. A “no task is too big or too small” mindset is absolutely essential.  At times this role requires significant database management, financial reporting, and tedious attention to detail.  At other times, this person will present to high-level executives, lead transformational projects, and be the face of our organization to our clients.


  • Act as a single point of contact for all non-technical operational questions, including administrative, financial, legal, and business.
  • In conjunction with the Global DC Director, provide project management, oversight, and coordination of our strategy for tax, permanent establishment, risk mitigation, & compliance.
  • Oversee the monthly billing cycle including reporting & disputes.
  • Manage the technology procurement & inventory lifecycle including forecasting, purchasing, asset management, returns, database management (heavy at times), reporting, and process enforcement / improvement.
  • Lead global datacenter program management activities such as remote hands oversight procedures, global DC/co-location access management, vendor management, architecture, equipment testing, and other initiatives.
  • Administration & coordination of software tools: Jira ticketing system,Confluence, etc. Liaise with internal development teams to continually improve software.
  • Implement best practices, standards, and processes, and own documentation.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the global and regional DC teams and managers. 
  • Be an ambassador both within our organization and within our parent organization, to both technical (Core Engineering) and non-technical (Business Management, Legal, Finance, HR, Procurement) teams. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Jira and Confluence experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A positive, friendly and helpful attitude.
  • Solid time management and organizational skills.
  • Polished and professional presentation.
  • Demonstrated ability for thoroughness, attention to detail, and good judgment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while remaining calm and composed.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience managing budgets and performing financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of tax / permanent establishment risk.
  • Experience in a technology organization, specifically in a managed services organization.
