Senior UX Researcher

Responsibilities

  • Partner with groups in marketing, operations, sales, and technology.

  • Author, schedule, and moderate usability tests in concert with product stakeholders.

  • Work with designers to ideate design solutions based on research findings.

  • Support the design and implementation of research process and best practices.

  • Build and maintain a repository of usability research and test participants.

  • Synthesize insights into actionable guidance for strategic initiatives.

  • Prioritize research needs across multiple products and business units.

  • Prepare and deliver easy-to-understand, well-designed research plans and findings tailored to a variety of audiences.

  • Work with product stakeholders to test business requirements using heuristic/qualitative methods.

  • Assist in the research efforts of internal and external supporting roles.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in current UX research methodologies with experience in usability testing, information architecture, and competitive analysis.

  • Solid background in usability moderating (e.g., digital one-on-one engagement with WebEx, Usertesting.com, UserZoom), participant recruiting, screener creation, experimental design, test method selection, debriefing, facilitation, and statistical (qualitative and quantitative) analysis.

  • Strong knowledge of general user experience practices, including usability principles, UI design, UX writing, workshop facilitation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Base knowledge of web accessibility, and Agile methodologies.

  • Experience with core UX tools, including Miro or similar collaboration tools, UserZoom or similar research tools, and Microsoft Teams.

  • Effective written and communication skills.

  • Strong team player with a focus on collaboration across the organization.

  • Relevant degree such as a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Industrial Engineering, Marketing, Design, or User Experience.

  • A minimum of five years of experience as a user experience researcher, user experience designer, or similar.

  • A minimum of two years of experience working on large-scale digital projects.

  • Experience in financial services or similar industries.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the digital space.

  • Experience in the financial services industry.

Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment / remote  

  • Able to work in a team environment.  Proficient personal computer skills including mainframes, PC's and networks.

Compensation

The salary for this position generally ranges between $100,000 - $145,000 annually.  This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2 and other applicable local regulations.

Bonus Eligibility

This position is also typically eligible for a 12.5% Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion.
