What you’ll do as a C++ Frameworks & Tools Developer at Akuna:
Akuna is looking for an experienced Developer who is interested in leveraging their technical skills to help make our other Developers more efficient and effective at their jobs. You will work on a team of Developers who are committed and devoted to this mission, and you will have a “do whatever it takes" mentality towards this end. In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and deliver high performance C++ application frameworks that will be used across our entire trading application ecosystem
- Design & create the build, CI/CD, and software tooling infrastructure that increases the efficiency of Akuna’s global C++ Development Team through the entire development lifecycle
- Spearhead & drive the evaluation & adoption of new open-source technologies and new C++ language standards & features
- Produce self-service & live training materials that help expedite onboarding and upskilling efforts
- Evangelize architectural principles and development standards across the organization
- Optimize application performance using a data-driven methodology
Qualities that make great candidates:
- 3+ years of experience developing high performance multi-threaded software in modern C++ (C++17 or C++20 required)
- Experience working on a component-driven architecture, one that encourages building reusable software and deliberately layering solutions
- Hands-on experience with “new” build systems such as Conan, Bazel, etc.
- A track record of identifying & fixing inefficiencies in developer workflows
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent
