Our HCM Operations Team is deeply committed to creating an outstanding employee experience, giving CTC employees easy access to the information, resources and benefits they need so they can get back to focusing on the work they do best. As the HCM Operations Manager at CTC, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our team’s roadmap, systems, and benefits. You'll lead a small but impactful team, driving excellence in our employee’s and manager’s experience, as well as in our internal HCM operations. We are seeking someone who is energized by the challenge of building and optimizing our HCM operations, embodying a “player coach” mindset to both contribute and guide others on our journey.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, data processing, benefits administration, employee onboarding and offboarding, HRIS management, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Develop and implement procedures and system optimizations to enhance the employee experience, streamline processes, and increase accuracy and efficiency
  • Oversee all aspects of our benefits program, providing world-class benefits to our employees through collaboration with brokers and vendors to automate and simplify benefit administration
  • Manage all aspects of leave of absence programs, providing guidance to employees and liaising with our leave administration provider
  • Manage and maintain HCM tools and systems, ensuring data accuracy and security
  • With your team, serve as a point of contact for HCM-related inquiries and issues, providing guidance and support to employees and managers
  • Help define and drive the HCM Operations Team roadmap to ensure it scales and supports the firm’s objectives
  • Partner with HCM business partners, Finance, Recruiting, and other leaders to anticipate and address evolving business needs
  • Lead and mentor a small team of HCM Ops administrators, providing coaching, guidance, and development opportunities
  • Create, monitor, and address key operational metrics to help enable a continuous improvement focused team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address employee relations matters, management challenges, and firm-enhancing initiatives

 

 

What We’re Looking For

 

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in HR management and/or people operations
  • Proficiency with HR systems and tools (UKG experience preferred, but not required)
  • History of driving process improvement by leveraging automation and streamlining systems connectivity broadly across organizations
  • Experience supporting organizations during critical stages of growth and expansion
  • Prior management experience of 2+ years preferred
  • Strong understanding of employee relations, leave management, and termination procedures
  • Ability to handle time-sensitive, confidential situations and data with empathy and professionalism
  • Preference for candidates located in Chicago (relocation assistance available)
