This is a great opportunity to join a high performing, high profile and energized team providing daily support to our global Commodities Trading desks and their Clients. The NAM Commodities Middle Office team is primarily responsible for ensuring accurate capturing and execution of trades in a timely and efficient manner. The global Commodities businesses transact high volumes across many different markets including Oil, Gas, Power, Softs/Ags, Exotics, Index and Emissions. Support provided to these desks include but are not limited to execution of controls related to trade capture, position reconciliation, trade life cycle management and regulatory compliance to help mitigate against trading/operational/regulatory risks for Citi and to ensure correct risk bookings for our global Commodities businesses.
Responsibilities:
Identify trade discrepancies and escalate trade breaks timely to various Commodities Trading desks
Help to resolve trade breaks between trade capture systems and clients, brokers and exchanges/FCMs
Reconciliation of exchange-traded positions between trade capture systems and exchanges
Reconciliation of OTC bilateral trades between trade capture systems and clients and brokers
Perform regulatory controls (e.g., exchange position limits monitoring, ISDA protocols pre-trade mid-mark compliance, SDR reporting timeliness) to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and prevent regulatory breaches
Research and resolve complex trade flow issues in a timely manner
Advise Front Office (Sales, Trading, Structuring) on complex trade structures and assist with new product setups
Work in close partnerships with Front Office, Financial Control, Operations and Technology teams to ensure trades are accurately captured and processed through the risk systems
Proactively anticipate and identify problems and solve before they develop
Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in a related role
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task under pressure and manage to deadlines
Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated analytical skills and problem solving skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with multiple functional groups in a cohesive manner
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
