Are you interested in learning and becoming part of establishing an energy trading desk in Brazil? And are you interested in strategic and operational projects at a management level as well as insights into commercial practices such as communications and leadership? Then you might be the intern we are looking to welcome in Danske Commodities’, part of Equinor, trading team in São Paulo.
Danske Commodities (DC) in São Paulo, Brazil

DC is currently building a trading desk in Brazil, and we are looking for the next colleague to join this journey and make a real difference. In the Brazil Power Trading team, we will handle all power trading activities related to our parent company Equinor’s activities in Brazil. As such, we are currently building the necessary capabilities and systems to enable an efficient and profitable energy trading desk in Brazil as well as being the route-to-market for Equinor’s renewables assets. As our intern in the Brazil Power Trading team, you will get the opportunity to work side-by-side with colleagues on the trading desk and support the Head of Brazil.

You will join a team of committed and experienced colleagues within both trading and analysis, who all work closely together with colleagues in our HQ in Denmark as well as our parent company, Equinor.

Commercial internship in Brazil

Starting out, you will get a thorough introduction to DC, your tasks and the team in Brazil. We will ensure you get a solid introduction to our trading setup and the associated tasks. Down the road, you will support on different strategic and operational tasks in close collaboration with the Head of Brazil. You will assist in providing thorough analyses for management level decision-making, support trading activities and prepare material for stakeholders and clients – just to name some of your interesting tasks. You will also become part of an organisation with many opportunities and with a great focus on both personal and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • support the trading team on daily tasks, including analyses, data search, written communications and performance management assessments
  • assist with activities related to trading and commercial discussions
  • issue invoices, monitor payments with counterparties and support the CCEE (energy trading chamber) process
  • create PowerPoint presentations for external clients
  • support the Head of Brazil on ad hoc tasks

Qualifications

We expect that you:

  • are currently enrolled into a relevant education within Finance, Business, Engineering or similar
  • are an experienced user of PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • have a minimum of intermediate level in English and Portuguese
