Oil & Gas Production Analyst

DRW’s Energy Analytics team is seeking a Production Analyst who will be responsible for production modeling and forecasting of oil and natural gas. 

Responsibilities:

  • Review and maintain actualized production estimates for the Continental United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, other SE Asia countries and Europe.
  • Analyze new datasets to assess potential to add edge to production forecasting.
  • Review of quarterly call information for oil and gas E&P companies as it relates to production growth.
  • Review of EIA production information and estimates for deferred and uncompleted wells.
  • Monitor oil and gas supply pipelines and infrastructure changes and developments.
  • Global oil production tracking.
  • Track global supply outages for oil and gas.
  • Track maintenance that could impact production.
  • Model potential production freeze off events using weather.
  • Communication with third party and other production forecasters.
  • Generate performance metrics of production forecast and communicate changes to the trading desk.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 years natural gas analysis experience
  • Proficient in Python and SQL
  • Chartered Financial Analyst certification a plus
