Overview
We are seeking someone with a curious mind and an entrepreneurial spirit to join one of our trading desks as a Junior Trader. This is a well-established desk trading in commodities and interest rates. The ideal candidate for this role will be tech-savvy, eager to learn, has the desire to make an impact, and takes initiative. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced traders and apply your knowledge to the desk quickly.
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Work side by side with senior traders
  • Learn proprietary methodologies and trading systems that support an established trading business
  • Execute quantitative research and post-trade analysis utilizing Python
  • Build and maintain trading models
  • Enhance existing trades; identify and pursue new opportunities
 
Requirements
  • Possess a strong work ethic and be able to learn quickly in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Maintain composure and communicate clearly when under pressure
  • Ability to succeed working as part of a diversified team
  • Strong interest in trading and financial markets
  • Strong understanding of math, probability, and statistics
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and statistical modeling
  • Advanced aptitude for problem solving multitasking
