Working hours: Full Time, Flexible
Location: Whilst your base office will be in London, we’ll support you to work flexibly from home (providing a suite of IT equipment), whilst coming together on site to offer face to face support and collaboration when required
Salary: Starting from £48,800, plus excellent benefits


Joining EDF as a Senior Market Development & Reporting Analyst, you will play a critical role in delivering insight and continual improvement into the commercial performance of the Portfolio Operations Wholesale trading team. 


We’re looking for a talented Senior Analyst to join the Market Development and Reporting team, working collaboratively across the Wholesale Market Services department to deliver successful insight and to drive change. 


The team are responsible for providing insight into the commercial performance of the Portfolio Operations team; reporting on the value created through forward trading, providing insightful reports on commercial risks and identifying ways to improve commercial performance. 


The opportunity…


The Market Development and Reporting team sit within the wider Portfolio Operations team who are accountable for forecasting and trading more than £40bn of energy on behalf of our generation and customer businesses. 


As the Market Development & Reporting Analyst you will be driving analysis and insight to influence commercial outcomes, working with key stakeholders to provide strong informative and relevant reporting, and identifying commercial successes and areas for improvement. 


In this role, you will be responsible for providing support and feedback to new hedging strategies and Curve Trading, performing ad-hoc insight and analysis to support the Portfolio Operations team, develop high-quality performance reporting and respond to industry consultations/regulatory change ensuring affected teams understand the impacts. 


What we’re looking for…
 
As a Senior Market Development & Reporting Analyst you’ll have strong analytical capability with a good business acumen and the competency to tackle a broad range of issues. You will be self-motivated with the ability to display high levels of attention to detail, autonomy, and tenacity. 
 
We are looking for somebody with excellent communication and presentation skills as well as knowledge of the energy markets and supporting regulation. Knowledge of Python is essential with experience in R Shiny and AWS also being an advantage.
