Are you looking for a role where you can deliver insight and make a difference? Come and join us as a Senior Analyst in the Cash and Reporting team.
It’s a very exciting time to join the team with the opportunity to get involved right from the start with implementing all the changes and efficiencies that are coming with a new operating system.
The Cash and Working Capital team are a small, collaborative team of 4 focused on reporting and forecasting cash and debt, giving insight into revenue and billings, and keeping strong control of the balance sheet. We work within the Business Reporting, Risk and Analysis department who sit at the heart of Customers Finance to communicate financial performance, key risk areas and business health.
The opportunity…
You will be responsible for the forecast of how our cash and working capital positions will evolve, using a mixture of past financial performance, and internal data sources (e.g. Revenue forecasts, operational debt management teams, cost teams). Along with the Senior Manager, present reporting and plans to senior stakeholders including the Finance Director and Corporate Treasury and answer their queries.
You will find opportunities to improve how we forecast cash and working capital performance, flag evolving risk in a fast-changing external environment and ensuring the business can act. Reporting and forecasting is well established but we can always improve on how we use and refine the data and link to internal and external business drivers.
You will work with other team members and across finance to ensure that we have robust, forward- looking assumptions on areas such as cash collections, costs, VAT, and other regulatory payments so that we can provide a well understood daily cash position forecast to Treasury and longer-term forecasts to the planning teams.
As a team we are looking ahead to what a new operating system will mean for debt, cash and working capital reporting and you will help to shape our requirements and migration to the new platform.
What we’re looking for…
You will be analytical with the ability to assimilate information quickly and interpret the “so what”. Sometimes we don’t have all the data or imperfect systems, so you will be pragmatic, resilient, curious, and open to a bit of challenge. You will be able to work both independently and part of a collaborative team.
We’re looking for someone who has the following attributes:
If you think you have most of what we are looking for but not everything, please go ahead and apply. We’d still love to hear from you.
