The Opportunity…
As a Senior Commercial Analyst, you’ll be a key player in shaping data-driven strategies for the Small Business market.
In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise to understand the drivers of value within our key market segments, performing complex commercial analyses and providing balanced recommendations that align with both business and customer needs.
You’ll thrive working with data and collaborating closely with Sales and Marketing teams, delivering foundational commercial insights to support informed and impactful decision-making.

What you’ll be doing
In this role, your key responsibilities will include continuously scanning the market to identify opportunities for value creation, conducting detailed margin strategy analyses to define product and cost targets, and managing the end-to-end pricing process to ensure efficient and accurate delivery.
You’ll take the lead in building and enhancing self-service dashboards in Tableau, collaborating with finance and cost teams to gain a deep understanding of market P&Ls and drive effective commercial decision-making.
You will also support the development and pricing of innovative products, such as time-of-use and flexibility solutions, working closely with relevant teams. Your expertise in exploratory data analytics will uncover actionable insights from large datasets, while your proficiency in data science and machine learning will enable you to develop, test, and maintain predictive models for insights such as renewal behaviour and debt propensity.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone with the following skills/experience:
• Good at building relationships and able to work effectively across the organisation on commercial matters.
• Able to develop high-level vision into prioritised requirements (user stories).
• Able to trade off accuracy versus velocity – being comfortable making simplifying assumptions when time is critical.
• Ability to weigh up multiple scenarios, consider multiple factors and present options / outcomes to aid decision.
• Comfortable reviewing financial outputs and drawing interpretations around performance.
• Good presentation skills and ability to confidently put forward recommendations.
• Able to present data in a meaningful and intuitive way.
• Experience of visualising through Tableau or a similar analytics tool.
• Able to use a different ETL (extract, transform, load) tools to enable data analysis and ad hoc insight.
• Understanding of data modelling and experience building and designing multi-purpose data assets.
