Team / department

 

Sitting within our Risk function, the XVA desk is responsible to ensure the optimization of Credit and Liquidity risk, cash flow and initial margin. This team has a transverse role, working in close collaboration with the Credit and Treasury teams to model and price the cash and credit impacts of transactions, coordinate market actions with desks.

 

 

Position purpose

 

This is a newly created role for EDF Trading and as such we are seeking a senior analyst to develop the XVA function. You will work closely with the Credit Risk and Treasury teams as well as the greater front office functions.

 

Main responsibilities

 

  • Develop and maintain IT tools to support optimization decision, working with IT department on enterprise solutions projects.
  • Improve indicators to monitor the impact of XVA trading actions, develop and run the reporting of the activity.
  • Be a reference in terms of knowledge of Exchanges’ Initial Margin rules, run scenarios of EFPs using Open Gamma and elaborate strategies to optimize position on the exchange.
  • Secund the Head of XVA to execute market transactions.

 

 

Experience required

  • 5 years of experience with in a commodities trading house, ideally energy
  • A deep understating of CVA’s, FVA’s and DVA’s and Credit experience would be an advantage
  • Experience in programming, preferably in one of the flowing context: XVA pricing, credit risk management, modelling and optimisation of cashflow.

 

Technical requirements

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with mathematic or engineering background
  • Good knowledge of risk management techniques
  • Good financial modelling skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop Python and VBA
