Junior Credit Analyst - Commodity markets

You will be part of the Credit Risk Team and undertake the full range of credit risk management and relationship management tasks for an assigned portfolio of OTC counterparties. The position is suitable for a recent graduate with a keen interest in energy markets and a desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What will be your responsibilities?

• Conduct financial analysis, assign risk ratings, propose credit limits, and prepare/present credit memos.
• Negotiate credit terms, support Treasury with OTC collateral management, and advise on credit limit availability.
• Identify and address issues, report on credit portfolio developments, and provide credit input for KYC reviews.
• Maintain risk management data, communicate with brokers, and support market research for environmental business.
• Expand products/markets traded with existing or new counterparties, and handle regular/ad-hoc reporting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies that will help you thrive?

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or related discipline; strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial statements. (*If you will graduate this summer, this job is also suitable for you.)
• Intellectual curiosity, interest in energy markets, and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); basic knowledge of SQL and programming skills (a plus).
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to adapt and respond to change, and cope with pressures and setbacks.
