Junior Legal Counsel

This is a junior role in Ezpada’s Legal Team. The Junior Legal Counsel will report directly to the Legal Manager. He/she will provide support to all three existing members of the Legal Team and, if required, also to colleagues in the Compliance Team.

What will be your responsibilities?

  • Responsible for negotiation and execution of procurement contracts, broker agreements and intra-group agreements;
  • Supporting the Legal Team in negotiation and execution of: bilateral power, gas, environmental products and other commodity trading agreements with Ezpada’s counterparties and market access providers
  • Financing agreements, bank guarantees and other credit support documents with financing institutions and other credit support providers.
  • Providing assistance to the Legal Team with legal and administrative matters, including preparation of materials for annual audit, support with internal and external signing process, maintenance and update of internal databases and information tables;
  • Contributing to the Legal Team’s know how, assisting with legal research, sharing know how with the Legal & Compliance Team;
  • Communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsels;
  • Responsible for archiving and filing of concluded agreements; systematic and organized structure of physical and electronic filing systems.

What knowledge and experience should you have?

  • University (bachelor’s or master’s) degree in law or other relevant legal certification in any of EU jurisdiction, United Kingdom or Switzerland;
  • Previous work experience in a legal role is an asset (legal research, drafting, negotiation, transaction management);
  • Very good command of English (both written and spoken), other language(s) is an advantage;
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills; and
  • Proactive attitude and mind-set, willingness to learn, develop and excel;
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
