Data Scientist/Python Developer/Quant Analyst - INTERNSHIP

Ezpada is offering an enriching internship opportunity at the intersection of data science, software development, and quantitative analysis. Ideal for individuals with backgrounds or keen interest in math, engineering, coding, and finance. While the role encompasses a range of responsibilities, we recognize that not every candidate may have expertise in all areas. We value potential and the ability to learn.

This position is for 3-6 months on site internship.

What will be your responsibilities?

  • Trading & Analysis: Gain insights into trading strategies, forecasting techniques, and the dynamics of European commodity and power prices.
  • Software Development: Delve into functional programming, client/server application design, and hands-on experience with Python. Exposure to R, Matlab, and possibly JavaScript.
  • Data Management: Engage with SQL databases, data pipeline architecture, automation of data reports, and upholding data integrity.
  • Quantitative Analysis: Dive deep into quantitative methodologies, cross-commodity analysis, and supply-demand forecasting.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with diverse teams ranging from statisticians to trading desks, sharing knowledge and assimilating new insights.

What knowledge & experience should you bring?

  • Currently enrolled in or completed a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or Statistics.
  • Some proficiency or strong interest in coding, preferably in Python.
  • A foundational understanding or eagerness to learn about databases, analytics, and trading strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in English; Czech is a plus.
