Compliance Officer

Flow Traders is looking for Trading Compliance Officer to join our Compliance Department in our Amsterdam office. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive and has excellent communication skills. In this role, you will be responsible for the practical impact assessment of new regulations (from regulators and exchanges), translating regulation into requirements for the business and the implementation of regulation in the business. The Trading Compliance Officer will act as the primary liaison for trading, risk, and compliance enforcement and will be responsible for daily reporting, developing and improving our monitoring and reporting tooling and related internal procedures.

 

What You Will Do

  • Ensure that Flow Traders abides by global and local regulations and policies; focused on reporting obligations (MiFID II transaction and trade reporting)
  • Continuously look for improvements and automatization of the company's Trading Compliance, risk management and control processes
  • Translate (new) regulation into specific compliance requirements (e.g. requirements for tooling, systems of internal control and monitoring and detection controls)
  • Manage the implementation process of the compliance requirements
  • Test and validate in-house built software
  • Collect relevant information / data for investigations, inquiries, and audits, both internal and external (regulators, exchanges)

 

What You Need to Succeed

  • 3 + years relevant working experience
  • Degree in Economics, Business Administration/ Law or a more technical background
  • Good understanding of financial products and EMIR and MIFIR regulations (RTS 1,2, 27)
  • Basic knowledge of Excel, SQL and/or Python
  • Proactive attitude, excellent attention to detail, communication skills and interpersonal skills
