Sr. Python Developer - US Equities Wholesale Market Making

Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Python Developer to join our US Equities Wholesale Market Making team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that enable the business to achieve its strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain an equity trading simulator and other parts of research infrastructure using Python
  • Get familiar with Wholesale Market Making business and US Equity market microstructure
  • Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and solve complex problems
  • Work with the product owners and stakeholders to define and refine software requirements

Qualifications

  • 5 + years of relevant experience in financial services supporting quant trading
  • Strong Python skills a must, experience with C /C++ / Java / R is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience operating in a Linux environment
  • Self-starter, desire to work in a less structured, startup-type environment
  • Experience working with quant infrastructure, alpha research support, and back-testing
  • Familiarity with US Equity markets and client market making is a PLUS

In accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $165,000 to $275,000. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
