Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Lead 

The DEI Lead will define and implement IMC's diversity, equity and inclusion strategy and lead initiatives to attract, include and retain a diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive and strategic DEI plans focused on attracting and retaining higher levels of diversity representation, developing leaders who will create an inclusive culture, and designing more equitable talent management processes, systems, and tools
  • Create and implement communications strategies and content management for training, campaigns, and web resources to support DEI initiatives
  • Develop and build programs that create a common language around DEI and facilitate dialogue amongst the employee population
  • Identify and address areas where we need to improve inclusion and belonging
  • Work with the Learning and Organizational Development team to create and deliver DEI-related training programs
  • Conduct ongoing research on best practices and recommends strategies for continuous improvement of DEI initiatives
  • Collect and analyze statistical data to evaluate the company's population in accordance with diversity standards and goals
  • Work with the Recruiting team to design and execute recruiting and hiring strategies to attract employees from diverse backgrounds
  • Partner with Human Resources to develop actionable tools and resources to help advance Diversity and Inclusion conversations across the company at all levels of the organization
  • Coordinate efforts to recognize and elevate underrepresented employee groups
  • Act as the DEI ambassador from the Chicago office to the global IMC DEI Task Force

Required Qualifications 

  • 6+ years of experience supporting corporate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (or similar)
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment
  • Experience developing strategic programs, seeing them through implementation, and making the appropriate adjustments to maximize the impact
  • Experience in communicating, aligning, and managing internal stakeholders across multiple levels
  • Strong analytical and quantitative analysis skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable business decisions and execution plans
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
