ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Quantitative Researcher at IMC, you will be given resources and opportunities to effectively impact our global trading strategies. Quantitative Researchers collaborate with Traders to evaluate existing models and suggest improvements, requiring superior analytical, mathematical, and computing skills. What You’ll Do:
Build custom analysis tools to explore new research ideas
Design mathematical models based upon trading ideas
Apply rigorous analytical and quantitative techniques to solve complex problems
Implement these new models and launch them into production
Conduct best practice to keep our eco-system logical and consistent
Your First Six Months:
As a Quantitative Researcher at IMC, you will have the opportunity to work on global teams to learn from the best Traders, Quants, and Engineers in the industry. You will participate in a global traineeship program beginning in February 2024 or August 2024 focused on enhancing your knowledge of quantitative trading, programming, and mathematics. WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
Current university student graduating between September 2023 – July 2024 that is pursuing a Masters or PhD degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or another highly quantitative field with a passion for research and problem solving
Strong knowledge of statistics and probability
Creative thinkers who are driven, resilient, and eager to solve challenging problems in a highly team-based environment
Sound intuition and deep thinking with data sets
Familiarity with programming in Python is preferred
