About the Position

We are looking for a colleague to join our growing Finance group, helping us manage our counterparty relationships in FX and futures. We’re assembling a new team with a broad and crucial purview: to centralize how we at Jane Street handle our bank and broker relationships, look after our wallet, and pay the right amount for the right resources.

The primary functions of the position will include:

  • Learning the firm’s key sell-side relationships
  • Building an understanding of our FX and futures wallets
  • Understanding the factors that dictate how we allocate our business
  • Using Street relationships to help expand our providers
  • Building relationships to ensure we are quick to react to market and regulatory changes
  • Optimizing our clearing and execution wallets
  • Working with our Legal, Risk, and Financing teams to ensure we have solid agreements with the necessary protections

The role will be an entrepreneurial one, with a broad remit and many touch points across the firm. You will assist the firm with long-term strategic development and help ensure stability of the clearing and trading relationships. You should expect to draw on experience and existing relationships in the clearing space, and serve as part of a growing, global bank and broker management team.

The ideal candidate will have sharp conceptual aptitude, and understand how pieces of larger systems fit together and depend on each other. They will also have excellent verbal and written communications skills, and be adept at project management and anticipating roadblocks.

About You

  • 5+ years experience in clearing, prime, or treasury roles
  • Ability to harness clearing firm relationships
  • Willingness to to learn basic coding skills to access and manipulate data
  • Self-motivator who can help build a platform capable of supporting our growth
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to learn and understand new trading strategies
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Fluency in English required
