Regulatory and Risk Analyst
About the Position
We are looking for a Regulatory and Risk Analyst to help with data analysis, risk monitoring and the production of various regulatory reports and policy documents.
In this role, you’ll build a deep understanding of our firm’s trade flows, how capital rules impact them and recommend ways to improve our capital and liquidity efficiency. To accomplish this, you’ll work closely with the Trading, Legal and Compliance and Operations teams across our offices worldwide.
This is a hands-on position with a wide range of responsibilities, and the right person will have a flexible mentality and a “no job too small” attitude. As you spend more time in this role, we’ll look to you for recommendations on how to improve and optimise our existing processes more broadly.
Additional responsibilities of this role will include:
- Preparing daily reports for capital and risk monitoring
- Monitoring intra-day market risk and settlement risk and investigating any breaches
- Preparing the firm's regulatory filings, including the MIF and IFR quarterly filings
- Helping to compile risk and regulatory policy documents, including input into the ICARA process
- Project managing existing processes and building new processes for new workflows
- Researching capital regulations in the UK or Europe such as IFR/IFD
About You
- 3+ years of experience, preferably at an investment bank, trading firm or professional services firm
- Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) and flexible team player
- Strong analytical thinker who can interpret complex data and regulatory requirements
- Motivated self-starter who can handle competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, pivot tables) is essential; familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, FRM or equivalent qualifications are preferred
- Fluency in English required
