Direct Trading Operations

In Direct Trading Operations you will have primary responsibility for managing the real-time production trading environment for Jump’s client facing business. The role will require product, technical and operational knowledge across the platform to proactively monitor and troubleshoot our trading system, deploy changes to our production environment while minimizing operational risk, and implement tools and processes to drive continuous improvement by allowing the platform to scale across numerous counterparties.

You will be a central part to an exciting new growth area for Jump Trading, with a key role in its ultimate success. You will need to thrive in working in a fast-paced and changeable environment and manage competing priorities effectively.

 What You’ll do:

  • Be a key stakeholder in supporting the continued development and enhancement of the CFD operations function
  • Partner and collaborate with the trading team and a variety of internal teams (Business Development, Onboarding & Integration, Risk, Treasury, IT, etc.) to ensure effective day-to-day counterparty management
  • Assist in identifying, testing & establishing improved operational processes & functionality
  • Monitor quoting obligations and triaging outages
  • Maintain contract fair value pricing models
  • Debug and managing vendor data dependencies for pricing models
  • Understand risk management and hedging across asset classes
  • Write, maintain, and troubleshoot python scripts and SQL queries

 

Skills You’ll need:

  • At least 2+ years’ of relevant work experience, for example at a CFD brokerage firm
  • Strong understanding of the full trade life cycle of CFD products (including reconciliations, risk monitoring, counterparty equity & PnL tracking, margin calls & settlement).
  • Understanding of CFD trading and CFD-basis is a plus
  • Familiarity with multiple asset classes and products; for example, equity indices, single stocks, commodities, FX, ETFs and EFPs
  • Fluency in python and shell scripting
  • Exceptional communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong relationship management experience
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to define and see problems through to resolution
  • A rigorous, detail-oriented approach to operations
  • A deep sense of ownership and urgency
  • Ability to handle shared operational and periodic on-call duties
  • Flexible with necessary travel
