Join our Equities team for an excellent opportunity to join a market leading platform and to drive the sales and trading process.

This opportunity will enable the successful candidate to work with an established Sales Trading team. The role will enable you to work closely with the regional research team, equity sales and sales traders to deliver a message that leverages our global platform and reach.

Reporting to the Head of Equities India, you will be planning and executing the marketing strategy for cash equities. You will be involved in leveraging the various trading tools and platforms that Macquarie employs to continue to offer our clients new ways to execute through Macquarie globally. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leading platform and to drive the sales process.

As the successful candidate, you will have a tertiary degree with admirable academic qualifications, ideally in quantitative discipline. Your passion for equities and financial markets has allowed you to gain at least 10 years’ experience in a similar role, where you have a proven track record of strong performance. You’ll have a detailed knowledge of risk management, technical and operation procedures in global institutional equity trading environment.

You have the ability to communicate ideas succinctly as both your written and verbal communication skills are excellent. Your institutional client relationships are strong and you are willing to develop new ones. You have excellent attention to details and can make quick judgements. You should have a high level of drive and commercial acumen, coupled with a readiness to make quick decisions and take responsibility while working in a team. You have strong sales/ marketing capabilities as well as a flexible proactive approach.
