Senior Equity Research Analyst
Macquarie Wealth Management is looking to attract an accomplished Investment Analyst with a particular focus on equities. As a senior member of the team you will be reporting to the Head of Wealth Management Investment Strategy.
You will be responsible for:
- Formulating views on equity markets and its various components for both Australia and global.
- Oversee and continue to build out a framework for equity markets and tactical asset allocation decisions.
- Responsible for views on direct equities including oversight of stock portfolios across broad style categories such as growth, value and income.
- Contribute to regular research on the equity market, themes and how to gain exposure to these via both direct and indirect equity investments.
- To oversee Macquarie Wealth Management’s indirect equity recommendations across all categories of domestic and international equities (i.e. large/small, growth/value, thematic, ESG etc).
- Link into advisors and clients for equities – both direct and indirect together with opportunities for providing insights into investment forums and client meetings.
- Marketing the portfolios and research to advisers and clients through presentations, media and other methods.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Experience as a senior investment analyst, equity strategy, portfolio manager and have been deemed a high performer
- A proven track record in idea generation/portfolio construction and in written research.
- Strong investment research experience, preferably gained in a buy side / sell side position within equities.
- Excellent communication skills and written research skills
- Self motivation, strong influencing and relationship management skills
- A demonstrated deep understanding of financial markets and investment products.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
