Join Macquarie’s growing Global Physical Oil business as a Crude Oil Trader, based in Singapore to develop our global crude oil business in Southeast Asia. Our high performing team sit within the Commodities and Global Markets Group, and you’ll play a vital role is driving business revenue and contributing to their success.

What role will you play?

As an experienced trader, you will help development of a physical and financial crude oil trading book in the region, by working with the COO team and physical operations. You’ll be responsible for profitable proprietary trading across both physical and financial crude oil, as well as other related products by building relationships with refineries in Asia, while keeping abreast of the global crude oil markets.

What you offer

  • Minimum of 5 years physical crude oil trading, marketing, and sourcing experience in Southeast Asia markets
  • In-depth understanding of regional crude oil market and strong relationship with Southeast Asia refineries and producers
  • Strong relationships with the key figures in the Asian crude oil market and good knowledge and trading experience in Global Crude market
  • Understanding of Crude oil arbitrage economics, physical crude oil related logistics solution and operations, and how to use financial derivatives to hedge physical deals and express market view
  • Strong analytical capabilities and communication skills, able to work with different teams internally on potential projects and deals.
