Operational Risk Manager/Senior Manager - Wealth

About the role

You will utilise your experience in a Wealth or Regulatory environment to assure, advise & anticipate risk to protect our clients & shareholders, and enable sustainable growth for our business.

This is a varied role and currently working in a hybrid model both remotely and in our Shelley St offices. If you have expertise in assurance and a keen interest in leveraging technology and data analytics to revolutionise the way we monitor and assess the risk, we would like to hear from you. 

Key responsibilities include

  • Assist in development and planning of the assurance program
  • Independently conduct assurance reviews of material risks and controls
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Group policies and guidelines relating to assurance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the ecosystem to understand end to end process
  • Using data analytics to support full population testing
  • Provide commercial and insightful advice and agree actions to optimise management of risks
  • Communicate timely status updates to develop ongoing relationship with business stakeholders
  • Report findings clearly and concisely to senior leadership and subsidiary Boards.
  • Share and adopt learnings and utilise expertise across the broader Group and industry in relation to assurance approaches and best practice.

About you

  • Be an experienced risk professional with a proven track-record in assurance, ideally within Wealth Management and with experience testing technology controls
  • Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Law, Technology or a similar discipline
  • Good understanding of regulations and industry best practices
  • Ability to understand the root cause of an issue and identify potential solutions
  • Demonstrate a high degree of commercial acumen, providing valued insights and strategic direction
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Possess effective data analytical skills or a strong desire to learn
  • Curious to learn about emerging technology
  • Can confidently communicate with and influence senior stakeholders
  • Have strong written communication, meticulous about details
