Quantitative Investment Strategies Sales (Paris)
Join our expanding Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) business in a sales position, focused on systematic indices across all asset classes. We transact with a global portfolio of institutional clients via swaps on our indices.
Quantitative investment strategies have performed exceptionally well in recent years and is a rapidly expanding area. Macquarie has a strong platform and rapidly growing client base in this space and we are looking for someone eager to learn more about this area of finance.
The QIS business sits within the Commodities and Global Markets (CGM) group and benefits from the broader expertise across commodities to develop market leading strategies in that space, as well as FX, Bonds and other markets.
As an Analyst within the team, you will be responsible for onboarding and managing client relationships, day to day trading and execution of trades with client, running analysis on our strategies and pitching new strategy ideas. You will quickly have exposure to clients, trade execution and the opportunity to develop relationships.
We are looking for personable, outward looking individuals who thrive on interaction with clients, brokers and internal functions. A focus on the details, extremely clear communication, resilience and problem solving and some understanding of quantitative investment strategies is a must. Familiarity with concepts such as index and returns calculations, risk metrics, swaps, futures and options trading will help you hit the ground running. This would suit someone with 1-3 years of experience in a sales role either on a Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) team or another team who is looking to move more into the quant space.
Some Fluency in Python would also be of benefit, although not essential.
