Senior Investment Strategist - Fixed Income

As a member of Macquarie Fixed Income’s US Investment Solutions and Strategy (ISS), you will operate in a team with a strong people and client-centric culture and be in a position to drive the growth of a successful business through client interactions and strategic business initiatives.  

In this front-office role you will:

  • Play a key role in the continued growth of the US fixed income business, and develop close working relationships with the fixed income investment teams, distribution and senior stakeholders across the organisation
  • Partner with our global distribution teams in the creation and implementation of our product and distribution strategies
  • Be a market and product expert, present our capabilities and outlook to advisors, researchers, institutional clients, consultants, and prospective investors in one-on-one meetings and to broader audiences with a goal of raising assets and retaining our existing business
  • Drive product innovation, identify investment trends and themes and develop / enhance our product suite
  • Support the team lead in the overall management of ISS, role model our team values and encourage the continued career development of the broader team
  • Work closely with the US Head of Fixed income and Head of Investment Solutions and Strategy US to establish business strategies aligned with MFI’s ambitious business growth goals and lead internal projects driving strategic initiatives
  • Produce and review thought leadership content to further establish Macquarie as a market leader in the industry
  • Be able to take your own business aligned ideas and initiatives forward and make an impact for Macquarie

We would expect you to have relevant experience in the funds management industry and a strong passion for investments and fixed income. You will be investment savvy with an ability to be technical but also simplify complex concepts. You will be a confident presenter who is able to read the room and connect with your audience and build strong relationships. As a member of high performing team, stakeholder management, prioritisation/time management skills and strong attention to detail is required. The role will also involve domestic travel depending on client activity.
