Senior Analyst - Fixed Income & Currencies

This exciting and diverse role will see you involved in a wide range of tasks and projects, across different product types and communicating with colleagues across Commodities and Global Markets and Macquarie as a whole. The COO team works across the various desks within Fixed Income and Currencies and supports day-to-day operations, developing solutions for operational, commercial and strategic issues facing the business.

What role will you play?

In this high-profile role you will use your strong problem solving, communication and technical skills to help the business grow whilst minimising operational risk. You will collaborate with teams across Fixed Income and Currencies (including sales, trading, structuring and lending staff) along with internal stakeholders to design and execute tactical and strategic solutions to meet business opportunities and requirements.

You will also be responsible for performing thorough financial risk analysis, reporting and problem solving, particularly across derivatives and structured products. Working closely with the regional and global team, you will be exposed to senior Fixed Income and Currencies management and have access to great learning and mentoring support. 

What you offer

  • Minimum of 2+ years experience in financial services, ideally from a similar role, market risk, middle office, IT or Finance
  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • familiarity with risk and valuation of derivative products preferred
  • working knowledge of Macquarie Trading System (MTS) preferred
  • advanced PC literacy is essential, particularly in Excel
  • a basic understanding of programming languages such as VBA or Python preferred
