Senior Investment Analyst Manager - Governance

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and driven Investment professional to join our investment governance team supporting Macquarie Wealth Management, within our Product and Technology division.

You will work directly with key stakeholders of our SMA, Wrap, and Platforms business to assist with investment governance matters and the analysis of SMA’s, managed funds and investments on the Wrap Investment Platforms. The Wrap Investment Platforms have over $100 billion in funds under administration.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and conducting investment analysis, research, and due diligence.
  • Being responsible for the execution of, and contribute to the evolution of, Investment Frameworks.
  • Analysing investment data and material to assist with the monitoring of investments.
  • Preparing reports and presenting them to stakeholders including Investment Committees and Boards.
  • Identifying investment themes and market events and analysing their impact to the Menu of Investments.
  • Taking initiative to lead by example and provide investment insight and guidance to less-experienced team members.
  • Working closely with the team to improve processes and data management.

 

To be successful in this role:

To be successful in this role you will have strong analytical and data manipulation skills with a keen eye for attention to detail. You will be curious and able to combine quantitative and qualitative analysis to form and present recommendations and points of view. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent written and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage deadlines and understand new concepts quickly. The successful candidate will also possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in investment analytics/research.
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Economics or an equivalent discipline.
  • CFA or equivalent accreditation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team and demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills.
