Join our Legal Entity Control team as an Executive This team is responsible for the financial affairs of the various legal entities in Macquarie Group, including periodic reviews and financial commentary, statutory and management reporting, capital monitoring and license calculations.
This team is also responsible for preparing financial statements for managed legal entities; ensuring high standards in the deliverables; correct & adequate disclosures, handling the external audit of the subsidiaries accounts.
In this role, you will be responsible with demonstrating a strong business understanding and provide context to accounting and financial matters including complex transactions. You will have experience in IFRS based financial reporting. You will be able identify, plan and mitigate the risk areas inherent to LEC functional responsibilities and providing advice to resolve complex work situations.
You will develop and exhibit core specialisation in assigned finance areas and reflect subject matter expertise knowledge within and across teams. You will proactively resolve issues that could result in financial misstatements and classification errors and lead compliance with financial control standards and LEC policies. This role is a combination of team management as well as individually managed and delivered responsibilities.
To be successful in this role, you will have a post-graduate accounting qualification, CA or CPA with 2-5 years of relevant post qualification experience. You will have strong experience in the financial services industry, and exposure to financial accounting and statutory reporting in a service industry environment. You have a strong customer service ethic, proactively understanding requirements of various and have the ability to maintain good relationships with the stakeholders, working in a virtual global team.
