As an intern in Macquarie Asset Management, you will be part of a global, full-service asset manager, providing investment solutions to clients across a range of capabilities, including infrastructure, renewables, real estate, agriculture, transportation finance, equities, fixed income, private credit, and multi-asset solutions.
The program
Our fast-paced ten-week internship program will provide you with hands-on experience in the world of financial services.
The program kicks off with an orientation providing you with the opportunity to learn about the Macquarie business groups, meet fellow interns and expand your network.
On the desk, you’ll be given meaningful and challenging work allowing you to gain practical experience to tie into your theoretical knowledge from school. You will receive support from your manager and aligned mentor. And additionally, participate in philanthropic and social events to connect you to our collaborative culture. To conclude your summer, you will present a project that you worked on during the program to senior management.
The role
As an intern with our Macquarie Asset Management Private Markets team, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills and build your career as your support a team investing to deliver positive impact for everyone.

Alliance Partners: You will be responsible for research, due diligence and valuation of infrastructure fund portfolios and investments as well as similar investments outside of the infrastructure sector. Additionally, you will monitor and analyze investment performance of existing investments, prepare presentations, investment recommendations and other written materials for internal and external stakeholders. You will analyze global industry trends and market data and assist in the negotiation and preparation of legal documentation in support of transaction execution and asset acquisitions.
Real Assets: You will work with senior executives on the execution of new investment opportunities and will be responsible for the financial modeling, analysis and diligence in Infrastructure-related sectors including Waste, Communications, Energy and Transportation. You will also work directly with portfolio company management to oversee and direct execution of the business plans for our portfolio companies.
Real Estate: You will work with senior executives on the execution of new investment opportunities through financial modeling, analysis and diligence of real estate assets and platform companies operating in the real estate sector. You will work with property managers, management teams and platform companies on the execution of business plans for owned real estate and platform. You will be involved in capital raising from investors for management investment products (including funds, joint ventures and clubs) and ongoing investor interactions.
About you

With a strong interest in financial services, you bring a proactive, resourceful, and positive attitude as well as a powerful work ethic. You have a strong attention to detail with experience and comfort in Excel.
