In this wide and varied advisory role you will provide guidance to senior stakeholders in Macquarie Asset Management. As a Business Compliance professional, you will join the broader Compliance team covering the Macquarie Asset Management group. This group’s businesses include, Real Assets, Real Estate, Private Credit and Asset Finance, and Public Investments. Based in Singapore, you will primarily manage second line regulatory compliance aspects with respect to Macquarie’s successful Asia-Pacific infrastructure funds managed out of Singapore. You will also work with a team of client services and product specialists covering Asian clients from Singapore. You will be part of the global Macquarie Asset Management Business Aligned Compliance team, as well as the Asia team supporting offices in Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing, Mumbai, and Manila.
In this role, you will report to a senior-level Business Aligned Compliance lead and interact with senior business stakeholders. You will be co-located with, and assist in providing advice to, the front office, manage and respond to regulatory inquiries, perform monitoring and testing of key controls and processes, draft, update and implement Compliance owned policies and procedures, and help create and administer training.
You will have the requisite skills and experience to undertake the role at a managerial level, including experience in asset management regulatory matters gained from a top tier asset manager or law firm. The ability to analyse regulatory requirements and interpret them in a practical manner across a range of products, businesses, and locations, as well as having the effective interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to develop relationships and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels, will be necessary to be successful in this role.
