Regulatory Compliance Manager (Superannuation/Wealth)

Seize this opportunity to join the dynamic BFS Wealth Product & Technology Division within the Macquarie Group – we are looking for a Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our Regulatory Governance team.

Within the Wealth Product and Technology Division, our primary business is the provision of choice platform products to superannuation members and investor directed portfolio service (IDPS) clients, with over $100 billion in funds under administration. The Wealth platform offers a large investment menu covering a wide range of asset classes and a sophisticated digital user experience to enable members and clients (assisted by their financial advisers) to manage and monitor their portfolio and financial position.

As our Regulatory Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing advice on regulatory and compliance related matters to  entity Boards, Senior Management and institutional partners.
  • Managing relationships with external audit and consulting firms
  • Coordinating several internal and external audits on an annual basis.
  • Assisting with the annual review and approval of policy and framework documents.
  • Managing various compliance plan attestations and associated processes.
  • Driving the uplift of compliance plans across four subsidiaries .
  • Presenting to various entity Boards of Directors and Committees .

Ideally, you will hold university qualifications in either Law, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a similar discipline. A minimum of five years previous experience working with wealth products or platforms (eg superannuation and IDPS) and/or in a legal, risk or compliance role is preferred. To excel in this position, you will also need excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. A sound working knowledge of the regulatory environment in which the Macquarie Wealth products operate will be considered favourably.
