Senior Analyst | Net Zero and Climate Risk

Join our Net Zero and Climate Risk Program team and help with meeting Macquarie’s strategy, data, reporting, and analytical needs relating to our net zero commitments.

What role will you play?

As a Senior Analyst, you will work closely with all operating and support groups in implementing Macquarie’s net zero strategy focusing on carbon emissions associated with on-balance sheet financing activities. You will research and document evolving industry guidance and peer reporting, assist with facilitating regular working groups with business and central stakeholders to track progress and proactively manage and coordinate delivery of data and documentation, collaborating with the broader central team to aggregate and analyse this data.

As part of this role, you will also document Macquarie’s internal methodology for financed emissions, provide input in drafting Macquarie’s Net Zero and Climate Risk report and track and report to the program management team on progress of key deliverables. 

What you offer

  • Prior experience in a climate change related field in a corporate, government or consulting context; or a strong interest in climate with prior experience in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Audit
  • Familiarity with emissions reporting frameworks such as NGER, PCAF and TCFD
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Great numerical and data analysis skills and strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of banking products and services
  • Excellent and proactive stakeholder engagement skills, with prior experience having worked on complex initiatives.

About the Risk Management Group

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include behavioural risk, compliance, credit, financial crime risk, internal audit, market risk, operational risk and governance, prudential risk, and Risk Management Group central.
