Operational Risk Senior Manager - Technology

This role will see you responsible for ensuring Technology Operational Risk is appropriately identified, reported and consistently managed within the Macquarie Asset Management Technology division, and in line with Macquarie’s Operational Risk Management framework and associated policies. You will be a trusted advisor and partner to technologists as they deliver and manage critical technology solutions.

Bringing your drive for continuous improvement you will identify and work with colleagues to implement automation opportunities and effectively manage risk with a commercial focus.

At Macquarie you will report directly to the Head of Macquarie Asset Management Technology Risk. You will work directly with senior members of Technology management teams globally as well as other associated stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will either be a technology risk professional with over 10 years of experience, or an experience technologist seeking a tangential opportunity that will broaden your horizons and set you apart from your peers.

To be successful, you will possess the following experience and skills:

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication and collaboration skills
  • A sound understanding of Operational Risk Management in a Financial Services and Investment Banking environment. Working knowledge of Asset Management, Investment Management, and Private Equity business processes preferred.
  • A strong technology background and the ability to solve problems with and challenge technology stakeholders.
  • Possesses sound data analytics skills e.g. Alteryx, PowerBI.
  • Ability to work independently and engage with senior stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively tailor communications to a diverse range of business and technical stakeholder groups.
  • Availability to work flexible hours to cater for interactions with stakeholders in different time zones.
  • A well organized, self-starter who can manage a range of competing priorities and projects.
