eComms/Voice Surveillance Analyst

e Risk Surveillance Department within Macquarie's Risk Management Group provides business surveillance to Macquarie's operating businesses and support groups.

Your responsibilities include:

  • undertaking electronic communication and voice surveillance (if any) on a daily basis; assisting the wider Risk Surveillance team with the day to day analysis of firm activity, including, electronic communications and relevant trades (firm, client and employee) as it pertains to communications in question.
  • manage the daily/ weekly volume of alerts.
  • escalate matters of interest to the relevant Level 2 Escalation Point and following up issues to a successful conclusion.
  • maintain adequate documentation of alerts and their resolution, including generating reports on statistics and escalations
  • working with local and global Risk Surveillance teams to improve the quality of alerts generated and remove 'false positives'.
  • assisting in ongoing development of system/user procedure manuals.

 

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • minimum 2 years relevant experience in one/ more of the following industries: financial services; insurance; audit firm.
  • effective interpersonal skills and ability to manage through the day today deadlines
  • analytical and investigative mindset, attention to detail with relevant experience working with technology based solutions
  • ability to develop relationships across various stakeholders, including Business Aligned Compliance, Business Operational Risk Management, Financial Crimes Compliance, and the Business
  • attention to detail, with the ability to concentrate for extended periods of time
  • ability to multi-task, be self-directed, prioritize and work to deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and quality
  • ability to interpret complex verbal information, with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for ensuring all risk across Macquarie are appropriately assessed and managed. Its divisions include Behavioural Risk, Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Regulatory Affairs and Aggregate Risk, and RMG Enterprise Support.
