Macquarie's Commodities & Global Markets (CGM) Group is seeking to hire an Associate Director, either in London or Sydney, within the Risk Culture & Supervision team (RC&S). CGM recognises that risk culture, effective supervision and good behaviour are at the centre of it's culture and are key to its on-going success. RC&S is CGM’s specialist, first-line of defence team, dedicated to this critical risk area. The RC&S team work directly with CGM global management, front office supervisors, first-line operational risk (BORM), specialist second-line risk and other support functions to enhance the existing supervisory tools and control suite, as well as CGM’s conduct-related processes.
You will report to the Global Head of RC&S, leading a global core team with direct reports in the USA, UK, Singapore and Australia, who are responsible for being the first point of contact for the day-to-day operation of the CGM RC&S program of work. The team’s responsibilities include providing advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders across all supervision control and system queries; leading on conduct issues including co-ordination with HR and highest CGM management; the production of management reporting and representing RC&S in governance meetings; producing other guidance materials, surveys, business requirement documentation, and other program centric materials. Additionally, you will be the first point of contact for all audit queries and will play a core role in the design of the CGM’s supervisory framework and the associated implementation of processes, controls (including supervisor training) and reporting. This role provides you with an opportunity to work in a global cross-divisional group within CGM, with high levels of interaction with senior stakeholders both within CGM and the wider Bank.
