Compliance Manager - ( Regulatory Risk Advisory and Capital Markets)

Become a member of a business-aligned compliance team supporting Macquarie Capital Americas.

Based in New York, you will be part of a global team that provides real-time risk management and compliance advice. You will contribute to the development and execution of Macquarie’s risk management framework working with senior leaders in both the business and compliance.

In this role, you will report to the regional head of compliance for Macquarie Capital and advise on regulatory risk management supporting investment banking, principal investments, and capital solutions businesses. You will take a lead role in designing and implementing the compliance risk management framework by working closely with business and support stakeholders, delivering training, advising on conduct matters, assisting with regulatory responses, and preparing for upcoming regulatory developments. Your excellent written and communication skills will enable you to coordinate with internal stakeholders, provide advice and guidance consistent with the firm’s policies and procedures, and coordinate with US based and global stakeholders.

Having strong interpersonal skills, diligence and ability to learn new concepts quickly will be imperative for this role. Testing and monitoring of compliance with firm policies and assisting with risk assessments of the business to ensure there is an effective business control framework are additional responsibilities in this role.

You should have a partnership mentality and be comfortable working in a team environment while also possessing the ability to work remotely and independently to meet deadlines, all while keeping an open communication with your management team. You will also be expected to take on management responsibility and demonstrate leadership skills required to drive initiatives and provide direction to team members.

Your degree and 5 or more years of relevant experience in financial services and related regulated businesses, management experience, as well as having in depth knowledge of global capital markets and understanding of the U.S. regulatory environment are required in this role. An advanced degree (e.g., JD or MBA) or completion of the FINRA series exams is preferred, but not required.

Salary range for this position: $112,000 - $158,000/Yr.  Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. The successful candidate may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
