Co-Investment and Secondary Private Equity Fund of Funds Associate

The Wealth Solutions team within Macquarie Asset Management Strategic Solutions Group is responsible for structuring and delivering a suite of alternative investment products to the high-net-worth individual investor market.

The team is looking for an experienced co-investment and secondary private equity fund of fund associate with 3-5 years of dedicated co-investment and secondaries experience to help manage a $1+ billion private equity portfolios.

To be successful in this role, you should have a deep familiarity with sourcing, modeling, valuing and documenting investments in co-investments and private equity funds purchased in the secondary markets. You will participate in all areas of the diligence process, including the initial sourcing, conducting interviews with private equity general partners, company management and industry experts and ongoing monitoring. 

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Performing company, fund and transaction modeling, pricing analysis
  • Developing and maintaining proprietary deal and market intelligence
  • Assisting in presentations to investment committee and internal sales professionals
  • Performing due diligence on prospective co-investments and secondary private equity investments
  • Sourcing, analyzing, and monitoring co-investment and secondary investment opportunities
  • Conducting various tasks related to product reporting, monitoring investments, market research, internal requests, and marketing efforts

You will have:

  • 3-5 years of prior dedicated co-investment or secondary private equity fund of funds experience preferred
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related area of study
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A self-motivated, detail-oriented, focused demeanor
  • Creative thinking and problem solving
  • An Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Capital IQ, PowerPoint
